When Nick left school at 16 he attended college to complete his plumbing qualifications, during which time he worked as an apprentice for a self-employed engineer in the Redditch/Alcester area.
After college he joined a small family run plumbing firm where he worked for 6 years. During this time, he gained experience working as a domestic new build plumber and pursued his qualifications to be a domestic gas engineer.
In December 2017 he relocated to the Pembrokeshire area and whilst working for several Swansea based firms, he became a fully qualified Gas Safe engineer in LPG and completed his OFTEC oil qualifications. He then started NMG Plumbing and Heating in October 2018 following the birth of his first child.
In June 2017 after nearly 6 years together my wife and I got married and a few months later whilst on our honeymoon here in Stepaside we decided we had waited long enough to follow our dream of living in Pembrokeshire. A few short months later, we had moved from the Midlands to the beautiful village of Begelly to start our new lives. Fast forward to September 2018 we added our beautiful little girl to the family and I decided that working for a Swansea based company was no longer the right decision for us.
I found I was spending too many hours travelling to and from work when I could be spending those precious hours watching our baby grow so, we decided that now was the time to begin our next adventure by starting our own company. This, in time, would give us the much-coveted family time we wanted whilst providing what we hoped would be an excellent service to all families in the surrounding areas.
I am a family man at heart but I am also hardworking, conscientious and reliable and we would like to think that these values shine through when we are dealing with our customers. From our customer service, quotations & installations, we pride ourselves on giving you the best of us to the best of our abilities.
That brings us to now, I am happy to say that our leap of faith seems to be succeeding and our small family run business is steadily growing (as is our family with baby #2 arriving in the Summer of 2021).

Without Nick NMG wouldn’t have been possible (and not just because the company is named after him). His is the face you are most likely to see, he will come out to quote for your work, he will install your new boiler/bathroom and he will complete your servicing & diagnostics to solve all of your plumbing problems. And hopefully this will all be done with a friendly smile on his face…
She is the brains behind the operation (or at least she was before having a babies melted her brain). She is one who you speak to via email or on Facebook if you have any questions or queries. She will send out your quotes, invoices and receipts and is usually the one badgering Nick to answer the questions she can’t, whilst juggling a toddler, a new born and a very hectic (and ever changing) work diary.
He is the newest recruit to the NMG team (although we have known him a lot longer as he is Toni’s slightly – OK, MUCH – younger brother). He has recently relocated to Pembrokeshire and has already become an integral part of our team. Thankfully for us, he is a man of many talents and is not only learning all about plumbing & heating under Nick’s guidance but is also in the process of completing his electrical qualifications during his evenings & weekends.
